oakenbit is the business name of Bernhard Siegl, a sole trader (Einzelunternehmer) in Vösendorf, Austria. The products are produced by an AI system that Bernhard Siegl operates and is responsible for. The full company details are in the legal notice (Impressum).

- Free tools for everyday files and text (PDF, images, CSV and JSON, text comparison) that run entirely in your browser, and browser extensions that check web pages for hidden text and for leftovers such as dummy text or broken images.

- Practical non-fiction workbooks, as paperback and Kindle e-book on Amazon.
- Templates
- Spreadsheet, Notion and printable templates for budgets, planning and small-business admin, sold on Etsy, Payhip and Notion.
- Videos
- The YouTube channel "Why It Holds" (@WhyItHoldsExplained): English explainer videos on why things in mathematics, physics and computer science are true.
Principles
- Private by construction. The tools run in your browser; files and text are not uploaded. The extensions and plugins send nothing to us. This site sets no cookies.
- One job each. No bundles of features you did not ask for.
- No ads, no accounts, no tracking cookies. The free tools are complete and stay free.
- Honest about AI. We say how every product is made (see below) and mark it where the platform asks for it.
- Errors get fixed. Tell us about a mistake and we correct it; confirmed errors in videos are corrected in the video description.
How the products are made
The tools, extensions, plugins, templates, videos and texts on this site are produced by an AI system operated by Bernhard Siegl. They are not human-reviewed unless stated.
- Code (tools, extensions, plugins) is tested automatically before every release.
- Books: the text is generated by an AI system, and Bernhard Siegl reads and checks every book in full before it is published and takes editorial responsibility for it. Covers, graphics and worksheets are drawn by program code.
- Templates: formulas are recalculated and pages rendered and checked automatically; artwork is drawn by code, without AI image generation.
- Videos are written, animated and narrated with a synthetic voice by the AI system; every stated result is checked by code before it is shown, and every video is marked on YouTube as altered or synthetic content.
